His answer was the Jieldé: no external wiring, rotating conductive joints, interchangeable parts and a durability nothing else could match. The double Renvoi, with two heads on four arms, is a far rarer configuration than the standard workshop lamp.

The restoration

The lamp was fully restored, polished by hand and finished with a clear coat that keeps the raw metal look while protecting it against oxidation. It was rewired and tested; all joints move smoothly and both heads adjust independently. It uses B22 bayonet fittings, and two E27 adapters and two bulbs are included. Honest signs of age remain.

In your interior

Polished metal against a raw cast-iron brake disc gives it a gallery-like presence on a desk, sideboard or in a shop window.
