The cast-aluminium top once housed a heavy transformer; the shade directs the light straight down.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe restoration\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe top was sandblasted and the aluminium shade lightly polished.
