The story

A.E. Cremer was a Paris maker of lighting for theatre, film and television. This spotlight worked on French theatre stages in the 1950s; the knob at the back moves the lamp inside to turn a wide floodlight into a focused spot.

The restoration

Every nut, bolt and mechanical part was restored, the housing refinished in gloss red and the original metal details polished. We rewired it with an E27 fitting, approx. 2 m of cord, an inline switch and an EU plug, and mounted it on a handmade solid oak base. The Fresnel lens and the beam control are original.

In your interior

On a desk, sideboard or bookshelf it gives focused mood light and an instant conversation piece, in a mid-century, industrial, eclectic or film-inspired interior. For film and theatre collectors and interior designers.
