The story
Lights like this ran for hours a day in the television studios of Hilversum. The Fresnel lens, a stepped lens first designed for lighthouses, throws a soft-edged beam that made faces look good on screen. The barndoors shaped that beam to the set.
The restoration
We refinished the housing in black and rewired it for a standard bulb, while keeping the lens, barndoors and the original switch.
In your interior
At two metres and up, this is a lamp for a loft, a restaurant or a studio with ceiling height to match. It suits film lovers and designers who want an industrial object with a documented working past.
Ships in two boxes (spotlight and stand).
