The story
Hala was founded in Zeist in 1932 and became one of the first Dutch lighting manufacturers. Designer H.Th.J.A. Busquet gave its work lamps their sober, precise character, and they were used in workshops, offices and drawing rooms across the Netherlands. The Model 122 is one of Hala’s best-known designs: a two-arm swing lamp that works on a desk or on the wall.
The restoration
We fitted a new switch and checked the lamp. The black finish is original and shows its working life.
In your interior
On a desk it is a precise reading light; on the wall beside a bed or sofa it saves space and still swings out where you need it.
