The story
Hala was founded in Zeist in 1932 and became one of the first Dutch lighting manufacturers. Designer H.Th.J.A. Busquet gave its work lamps their sober, precise character, and they were used in workshops, offices and drawing rooms across the Netherlands. Busquet’s work drew on Bauhaus and De Stijl principles, and Hala lamps such as the Model 144 and the Pinocchio are collected across Europe today. The Model 98 belongs to the same design language.
The restoration
The lamp is checked and ready to use, with its original black finish and switch.
