The lamp that refused to stay ordinary.
A very rare double Renvoi Jieldé light with four articulated arms, two original shades, polished metal finish, mounted on a raw industrial brake disc.
Most vintage Jieldé lamps were built for workshops. This one evolved far beyond that.
Originally designed in 1950s Lyon by French engineer Jean-Louis Domecq, the Jieldé became legendary for its ingenious cord-free articulated arm system. No visible wires. No limitations in movement. Just pure industrial functionality built to survive decades of real use.
This particular piece is something far more uncommon:
a rare double-Renvoi configuration with two independently adjustable lamps and heads and four articulated arms in total. Fully restored, professionally rewired, polished by hand + clear coat, and mounted on a heavy industrial brake disc base, it now exists somewhere between collectible design object, sculptural lighting, and functional industrial art.
The polished metal contrasts beautifully against the raw cast iron base, giving the lamp an unmistakable gallery-like presence.
A true statement piece for interiors that deserve something authentic.
