Red Stage Spotlight Floor Lamp on Wooden Surveying Tripod - Retro Upcycled Theatre Light, E27

Red was not a safe choice. It was the right one.
This is an original retro stage spotlight, the kind that tracked actors across theatre stages, that absorbed the heat and noise of live performance, that was handled by stagehands on hundreds of nights. It has been stripped, refinished in a warm retro red, and mounted on an authentic wooden surveying tripod whose own working life preceded it in the field, not on a stage. The result is a floor lamp that has no precedent and no replica.
Two objects, one story
These wooden tripods were precision instruments, used by land surveyors. They were built to withstand outdoor conditions and rough handling, which is why decades later they still stand without wobble or compromise. The red inlays on the tripod were painted to fit the spotlight: a thread of colour that connects the two objects and makes them read as one composition.
The spotlight itself is a professional theatre and studio unit. Its housing is fully adjustable, tilt and rotate the head to direct light exactly where it is needed. It is not a decorative object that happens to produce light. It is a working instrument that happens to look extraordinary.
