The story
Strand Electric was the leading name in British stage lighting for decades, supplying theatres, television studios and concert halls in the UK and beyond. The Patt 23, nicknamed “Pig Nose” or “Pipo” for its distinctive front, became one of the most recognisable stage spotlights of the 1960s. These lamps worked night after night on professional stages, and this one shows it.
The restoration
We rewired the spotlight for safe use and mounted it on a base made from a brake disc. The patina from its stage years is left as it is.
In your interior
On a desk, sideboard or bar, it is a working lamp and a piece of theatre history in one.
