Shipping costs calculated at checkout
The Strand Electric Patt 23 was the workhorse of British theatre: a small, precise spotlight that stagehands nicknamed the “Pig Nose” for the shape of its lens tube. This 1960s example stands on a Swiss Kern Aarau aluminium surveyor tripod in matching black.

The story
Strand Electric of London lit most of Britain’s theatres for decades. The Patt 23 was made in huge numbers and hung in almost every playhouse and school hall, until modern fixtures replaced it. Today it is one of the most recognisable shapes in vintage stage lighting.
The restoration
We rewired the spotlight for any LED or standard bulb and paired it with a precision tripod by Kern of Aarau, a Swiss maker of surveying instruments.
In your interior
Compact enough for a living room or study, with a sharp, graphic silhouette. A good match for modern and minimal interiors.
