Fully Restored Vintage Gents of Leicester Factory Clock – Copper Case – 50 cm
This impressive industrial wall clock was manufactured by Gents of Leicester, renowned for their high-quality station and factory clocks. We've carefully restored this piece, combining historical integrity with practical modern use.
Gents of Leicester Clock:
Copper body, white dial face with some awesome patina/aging.
Model: Large Factory wall clock
Date: Circa 1920s
Made in England
🔧 Renovation Details:
We kept the original clockwork in it and added a “special made” Pulse generator made by a Dutch company, “het uur”. It's an 12/24V Pulse driver and it provides adjustable pulses to get the clock going. Once a minute, it's getting a pulse. It works on an adapter (included).
Just connect to your standard power outlet, and it runs automatically.
The original clock hands have been preserved.
The copper body has been semi-polished by hand, enhancing its authentic industrial look while keeping its vintage character.
We’ve added a new clear Plexiglass lens for durability and style.
📐 Dimensions:
Diameter: 50 cm / 19.7 inches
Depth: 9 cm / 3.5 inches
📦 This is a true vintage item with age-appropriate signs of wear, which add to its authenticity and charm. The dial face is a bit discolored (check photos). Perfect for industrial, vintage, loft-style, or mid-century modern interiors.
Gents of Leicester, originally known as Gents & Company Limited, was a renowned British manufacturer of electrical equipment, best known for its iconic electric clocks found in public buildings, schools, and railway stations across the globe. Founded in 1872 by John Thomas Gent, the company also specialized in electric bells, fire alarm systems, telephones, and later even radar technology. Over the years, Gents underwent several ownership changes, eventually becoming part of Chloride and later the MK Electric Group. Today, the company operates under the name Gent by Honeywell, focusing primarily on advanced fire detection and alarm systems.
