Jieldé Wall Sconce, 1950s | Restored in Metallic “Vespa Green”, French Industrial Lamp by Jean-Louis Domecq
Shipping costs calculated at checkout
Jean-Louis Domecq designed the Jieldé in Lyon in 1951 because he was tired of repairing fragile workshop lamps. This early wall sconce has been restored in our own metallic green, which we call “Vespa Green Killer”.

The story
Domecq’s idea was to run the current through the joints instead of along visible wires, so the lamp could rotate freely without tangling. The design has barely changed in more than seventy years and is now a recognised icon of French industrial design.
The restoration
We refinished the lamp in metallic green and fitted a short cord with an EU plug. The original label and switch remain.
