The story
Kaiser Idell lamps were designed by Christian Dell, the German silversmith who was workshop master of the Bauhaus metal workshop in Weimar. Gebrüder Kaiser & Co. produced them from the 1930s for offices, workshops and homes. Today they are sought-after Bauhaus collectibles.
The restoration
The lamp was renovated in satin black with a grey interior, the metal details were polished, and it was rewired with an EU plug. The original E27 fitting and switch were kept.
In your interior
Clamped to a desk, drafting table, bookshelf or workbench, the 6740 gives directed light where you need it. A working Bauhaus classic for designers, architects and collectors.
