The story
NOS (Nitrous Oxide Systems) bottles became an icon of street racing and car tuning around the turn of the millennium, made famous by The Fast and the Furious films and the game Need for Speed Underground 2. This piece turns a real fire extinguisher into that iconic nitrous oxide bottle, with a pressure gauge and rotary knob for looks.
The restoration
The bottle was sanded, painted and finished with a NOS or NX Nitrous Express label. As a lampshade we converted a racing cold air intake filter, straight from the tuning world. We wired it by hand with an E14 fitting, approx. 2 m of cord, a switch and an EU plug. It is an empty bottle, not a working nitrous tank.
