The story
Rademacher GmbH was founded in 1914 by Ernst Rademacher in Düsseldorf, and like many German manufacturers of its generation, its real production story begins after the First World War. From the early 1920s, the company turned its attention to task lamps, precise, articulated fixtures built to bring focused light exactly where a worker needed it, on a factory floor, at a workbench, in a workshop, and even in military settings where reliable, adjustable lighting mattered as much as it did on a production line.
