The story
Siemens supplied time systems to German factories and railway stations, in which one master clock sent pulses to dozens of slave clocks so that everyone worked to the same minute. This clock was one of them.
The restoration
The body was freshly painted in satin black. We fitted a silent quartz movement that runs on a single AA battery, and kept and adapted the original hands. The dial shows honest signs of age.
In your interior
At 30 cm with its black and gold contrast it suits a kitchen, study, office or hallway. A compact piece of industrial history for collectors of clocks and mid-century design.
